I cracked open the Fall issue of Good to find some very wise words from Umair Haque. I find them impossible to fault.

My bedroom TV is a behemoth from 1987 that while it can do cable, it can’t tune in every channel.  A few months ago I decided it would be nice to have Comedy Central available so I added an old VCR.  While it did the trick for Comedy Central, the VCR is stuck on Second Audio Programming (SAP) and the universal remote I’m using doesn’t have the ability to adjust.  This makes for some interesting TV time.  So far I’ve caught Family Guy in Spanish and just this morning a few minutes of a Austin Powers with Descriptive Video Service (DVS) which narrates visual actions for the blind.   Frau fires her gun at Austin.  Austin drops his gun and runs away.

Having a camera handy on a cell phone makes for an eclectic collection of pictures.  Here are a few highlights from the last month.
